We bring you the 1st in our on-going Interview Series with an in-depth two-part interview with a man who spent most of his career behind the camera, shapping the way the roughie films of the 60s and 70s were shot.

C. Davis Smith, or Chuch to his friends, has made a career shooting some of the worst (or best, depending on how you look at it) films of the grindhouse age, earning him the title of Cult Cinematographer.

This first-half of the epic interview focuses mainly on the films C. Davis worked on for Sex-ploitation mainstay Doris Wishman. The most-prolific female director, who liked to make nudies movies, formed a strong bond with C. Davis, and that friendship makes for some great stories.
